Wenatchee River Ranger District (Leavenworth)
All course-related climbing trips in Leavenworth must fall under our 500 allocated service days. Course field trips other than climbing are not authorized in the Wenatchee River Ranger District at this time.
Climbing and Scrambling Committees work together with staff annually to prioritize dates and branches for this. Learn more about our Internal Climbing and Scrambling Lottery.

Cle Elum Ranger District
The Mountaineers are under a special use permit in the Cle Elum Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Staff reports our organization's usage annually. Please see our Priority Use Permit (Amendment #6) for an overview of authorized field trip locations by activity.
Please contact staff at info@mountaineers.org if you are planning a new course in the Cle Elum Ranger District, if you would like to offer course field trips to new (currently unauthorized) locations, or if you plan to significantly increase the size of a course or field trip you have offered in the past. This may require Mountaineers staff to submit additional information to the Cle Elum Ranger District to adjust our permit.
