Visitors to Meany
During the summer, Meany offers a range of activities including biking, hiking, mushroom hunting and the opportunity to learn all sorts of skills during work parties to prepare the lodge for next winter's snow. Come learn to splice ropes, maintain tracked vehicles, weld, split wood, do plumbing or carpentry, maintain trails, and more! Come Dec 27th, 2025, Meany will be open for winter sports, play, and skiing again!

COVID Policy
The Meany policy for this summer with respect to feeling unwell is:
Testing for Covid is not required for entry into the lodge.
If any member of your guest party feels unwell in any way, we encourage you to email the lodge chair to cancel your reservation. The lodge chair will process a full refund for your stay.
If you begin to feel unwell during your lodge stay we will immediately transport you and your party back to the parking lot so that you can recover in the comfort of your own space and not risk sharing your potential illness with others.
We will look forward to seeing you again as soon as you are feeling good.
Weekend stay reservations and cancellations must be made before Thursday at noon.
UpcomING Events
- Mushroom Weekend, 10/31 - 11/2/2025 - Save the date! Registration will open first week in August. One benefit of all the rain we get is a bumper crop of mushrooms. Spend a weekend learning to hunt mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest with experts from the local Mycological Society and the Mountaineers. Eat delicious feasts prepared from locally sourced mushrooms. This weekend always fills up, so check back soon after registration opens.
- Fall Work Parties - Meany is run by volunteers like you! Come make new friends and learn what it takes to operate a ski area, prepare trails, fix machinery, and improve the lodge. Participation in work party weekends is free, provides stewardship credit, and people attending three or more receive a free weekend during ski season. Registration is open! June 28-29, July 26-27, Aug 30-31, Sept 13-14, Sept 27-28, Oct 11-12, Oct 25-26, Nov 15-16
- Patrol Race 2026 will be held in mid-March 2026 - The Patrol Race is a 19-mile backcountry ski race between Snoqualmie Pass and Meany Lodge. Registration for the 2026 Patrol Race will open in Fall 2025, See the Patrol Race page for information and finishing times.

Q: Do I need a parking permit to Visit Meany?
A: During the Summer and Fall you can drive all the way to the Lodge where parking is free.

Q: Are private groups allowed at Meany?
A: Yes! If you are looking to hold a secluded seminar or a rustic day/weekend retreat, whether it be Northwest Trackers, Sierra Club, a school function, a family reunion or even a wedding, rates are per person for day use or room & board. Contact us for special rates for non-profit group use.
Q: Is there a map of the cross-country trails?
A: The snowrec.org website for Crystal Springs has a nice geopdf of cross-country ski and dog-sled trails in the area.
Celebration of Patti Polinsky
Patti was the founder of the Meany and Mountaineers Ski School and a bedrock member of the Meany Committee. A recording of the Mountaineer's celebration of her life is available online.
