The Mountaineers is a nonprofit and a community of people who share a passion for the outdoors.
For over a century, we've been teaching people skills to explore the outdoors safely and responsibly. As a nonprofit, 100% of your dues and donations are tax-deductible, and support our mission-driven work to protect the natural world and invest in the outdoor experience. Our programs for youth and adults are based primarily in the Pacific Northwest, and our publishing division extends our reach across the map. In addition to courses, activities, and events, our members enjoy a wide array of benefits including discounts on travel, gear, and books.
