Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour

Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour

Join The Mountaineers as we celebrate the spirit of adventure with Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour. Every winter, The Mountaineers proudly hosts screenings in Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia.

About Banff

In 1976, a tight-knit group of climbers and outdoor enthusiasts conceived The Banff Festival of Mountaineering Films. This was a one-day gathering that became the renowned international festival it is today. Over 30 years ago, Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival began an outreach program to bring the Festival to other communities. This has become known as Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour.

The Festival celebrates amazing achievements in outdoor storytelling and filmmaking worldwide. From the over 400 entries submitted into the Festival each year, award-winners and audience favorites are among the films that are carefully selected to play in theatres around the world. The World Tour now reaches over 40 countries and brings mountain films to an audience of over 550,000 worldwide in approximately 550 locations.

Traveling to remote vistas, analyzing topical environmental issues, and bringing audiences up close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the World Tour is always an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.
