Bikes & Brews Series- Surviving a Cougar Attack. Five friends on a routine gravel ride encounter the unthinkable with Keri Bergere, Annie Bilotta and Aune Tietz
January's edition of Bikes & Brews features an incredible story of bravery and survival. 5 women are out on a gravel ride on a well-known route on a beautiful winter day. The most unlikely and unimaginable encounter turns into a 45 min fight for life and death with a cougar. The bravery, resoucefulness and resilience of the women saves the life of Keri and bonds them for life. The Mountaineers are honored to hear their story directly for the first time. Keri, Annie and Aune will also share many lessons learned about how to prevent and protect themselves from dangerous wildlife encounters.

Bikes & Brews Series- Bikepacking Newfoundland T'railway with Philip Ouellette
Join us in March for this fabulous presentation on the Newfoundland T'Railway. Philip Ouellette will share route information, photos and stories from his bikepacking trip on the Newfoundland T’Railway”, a 550 mile route that crosses the scenic open country of Newfoundland from east to west along an unpaved railbed. The route takes you through a stunning mix of often damp, open, and expansive terrain, as well as vibrant urban cities, on the journey between Channel-Port aux Basques and St. John’s.
