The Seattle Folk Dance Committee plays traditional folk dance and ballroom favorites, line dances, sets (squares and contras), and international music. Sessions are held at the Peter Kirk Community Center, 352 Kirkland Ave., Kirkland, WA.

what sort of music do we play?

All the traditional Folk AND Ballroom favorites plus line dances, sets (squares or contras) and mixers to recorded international music such as : Waltz, Polka, Two step variations & pattern dances along with Ragtime, Swing, and Tango.

We sometimes do "walk-through" instruction  - then respond to requests until closing.

No partner necessary. Come by yourself or bring friends.

$8, credit cards OK. Pay at the desk.

our regulars like that every dance is a little different

Although I am very enthusiastic about many dances, I don't want to do the same thing all session. So just like our weather, wait 3 or 4 minutes and there is a completely different atmosphere!
