The Mountaineers Seattle branch Sea Kayaking Committee offers trips, clinics, and courses. Everyone who has the Sea Kayaking Course badge can join sea kayak trips lead by any branch.

We offer a Basic Sea Kayaking Class in the spring. The 2025 class will be posted soon.
Already an experienced Sea Kayaker?
If you are already an experienced Sea Kayaker, you may be eligible for equivalency to our basic sea kayaking.
We have this process to ensure that everyone who participates in our trips has a base level of knowledge and skills.

We have a year round program of intermediate skill development.
Interested in becoming a leader?
Leading kayak trips gives to our community by creating opportunity for other people to go on trips. We support our leaders with mentorship and instruction. Read more and
