Introduction to Map & Compass - Seattle
This introductory class combines animated graphics with an engaging lecture that will demystify how a map and compass work together. The field trip compliments the lecture with hands-on practice, through repetition in a small group setting to give the student a solid understanding of navigational principles.
GPS Navigation: Using CalTopo and Gaia GPS
In this unique online class, you will practice live in a workshop how to use CalTopo to easily create and print custom physical maps for your future trips to anywhere on the globe. You will then transfer your custom waypoints and routes to the cell phone app Gaia GPS for use in the field.
Wilderness Navigation Equivalency - Seattle
Used to provide members with appropriate experience with navigation badges when required.

2 hour, hands-on sessions with a concentrated focus on measuring and plotting bearings, groups limited to four students.
