Community Family Hike with Capitol Land Trust

The Mountaineers will instruct small family groups in how to hike safely and happily as we lead them through the Oakland Bay Historical Park to explore a beach at low tide. We will also teach them how to follow a map to stay on trail and how to read tide tables. As we explore nature we will be sure to also teach them Leave No Trace Ethics.
5 ( 6 capacity)

We need several volunteers to lead small groups of families, as well as staffing the starting spot table with information about Mountaineers Family activities.

Wear Mountaineers gear and bring 10 essentials.

We will provide hiking backpacks and sticks, maps and tide tables, and maybe some guides to the wildlife there.

All families will be given info on CLT and Olympia Mountaineers Family Programs as well as LNT info and How To Hike with Kids info.
