If you have completed climbing courses through other organizations and have extensive climbing experience, please reach out to the Climbing Chair to find out more about our Basic Equivalency process.  Who can join our climbs

Students of our course who have passed classroom and field trip requirements are eligible to sign up. Graduates are welcome too.  If you have completed climbing courses through other organizations and have extensive climbing experience, please reach out to the Climbing Chair (listed to the right) to find out more about our Basic Equivalency process.

Who can Help Teach our Classes

Teaching classes is a great way to share your experience, stay sharp, meet other climbers and contribute to safe climbing and climbing environmental ethics. Course graduates can take the Instructor Review Class to get started.  If you are a graduate of a non-Mountaineers Course and have significant experience please contact the Climbing Chair to find out how we can help you get engaged in this rewarding work.

Everett Peak Pin


The Everett Mountaineers have had a peak award system for many decades. The Mountaineers Peak Pin set has the Everett group in their list

 

 

 

    Priority climbs

    Due to the popularity of certain climbs, each Branch will be given a priority date which only that Branch can post up to the expiration date. This will help manage crowding on routes and allow fair access to popular climbs. List of priority climbs for 2021.

    Climbing Committee

    The Everett Climbing Committee is committed to building and fostering a representative climbing community that reflects the spaces in which we live and recreate. We acknowledge the harms of inequity in outdoor recreation for people of color, women, LGBTQ people and other marginalized communities. We encourage people from all backgrounds and identities to join our community and will continue to challenge ourselves to learn, grow, and act justly.

    We also welcome your help on our committee and would love to see you give back to your branch! The Climbing Committee meets regularly every three months.  For more information, email the committee chair, Rodica Manole, at rodi.man@gmail.com.

    Service Award

    The Ken Nelson Memorial Climbing Award  recognizes outstanding climb leadership and volunteer service to the Everett Mountaineers Climbing Programs and its community.
