Happy Earth Day, Mountaineers! There are so many ways to celebrate this marvelous planet that we inhabit. Being a good steward of the environment is a great way to show that you care, and if you need some specific ideas of things you can do in the coming weeks, we’ve got you covered.

Upcoming Stewardship Opportunities

Are you looking for opportunities to give back and get your hands dirty? Consider signing up for one of our upcoming stewardship opportunities! Join us to remove invasive species or help with trail maintenance. No experience is necessary and all tools are provided, though you’ll want to dress for muddy and brushy conditions (boots and long pants). These activities are free to both members and non-members, please register on the activity page. In this eLearning course, we’ll break down the basics of our national public lands system and how you can step up to protect the outdoor experience. We’ll discuss: primary land management agencies, conservation designations, conservation laws, and how to take action. This course typically takes about 50 minutes to complete, but your impact can last a lifetime.
