Hi everyone! Join us at our Lackamas Flats Protected Area for a morning of pulling invasive Scotch broom. The broom is on a parcel that we recently planted, so we really need to make more room for those baby trees and shrubs to grow unhindered by broom!

REGISTER HERE with NLT through Eventbrite to reserve your spot and receive directions to the event. If you are looking to receive stewardship credits through Mountaineers, you ALSO need to register here (at the Mountaineer's website).

Here are some of the guidelines we have adopted to keep NLT staff and volunteers safe during the ongoing pandemic. If you feel you cannot comply with these guidelines, please do not register to attend this event.

  • The Land Trust will be hosting in-the-field stewardship events in alignment with the state’s current COVID-19 regulations. This includes limiting the total number of people permitted at each event, in accordance with the state’s guidelines on outdoor activities.
  • If you have experienced COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath, etc.) or have been in contact with someone who has within the last two weeks, or are feeling ill in any way, please stay home.
  • Volunteers and staff will maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet at all times.
  • Volunteers and staff will wear a mask whenever we are gathered as a group. Once we are spread out and working, you may choose to remove your mask, but you must put it back on any time you interact with another volunteer or staff member.
  • For the time being, we will no longer be serving drinks or providing gloves. Individually wrapped snacks and hand sanitizer will be provided. Volunteers will supply their own gloves and water.
  • Volunteers must not bring food to share with the group.
  • Tools will be sanitized before each work party; volunteers and staff will continue to use the same tool throughout the work party and will not trade with others to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Please let Land Trust staff know if you test positive for COVID-19 within three weeks of attending a Land Trust event. Land Trust staff will let other participants know that someone attending the event has tested positive without sharing names or any other personal information.

If you have questions, please feel free to e-mail Susannah at volunteer@nisquallylandtrust.org.

Thanks, and we hope to see you soon!

No special skills or experience required. All are welcome.
