Go Big & Go Home -- Vertical Mind: Psychological Approaches for Optimal Rock Climbing

Don McGrath, author of Vertical Mind: Psychological Approaches for Optimal Rock Climbing will present a talk and slide show as part of the Go Big & Go Home project on April 13, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Don's talk will build on the analysis of psychology that applies to rock climbing in Vertical Mind, adding onto it the thought patterns that are involved in and contribute to climbing accidents. Historical data will be analyzed and presented showing the most common accidents and their contributors, and insights will be given to the psychology at play. Don will provide mind hacks and tips that climbers can use to help avoid some of these dangerous thought patterns, so that they can go big, and still go home.
