Beta & Brews: Triple Direct on El Capitan

Beta and Brews: Scott McAmis and Teddy Kisch will present on their 6 day, big wall ascent of the route "Triple Direct" on El Capitan in Yosemite, a 30 pitch route linking up classic pitches of Freeblast, the Muir Wall and the Nose. The pair developed their big wall skills in the Mountaineers annual aid climbing and big wall course, which starts each year in January and culminates in an Autumn trip down to Yosemite. Come learn about the logistics, unpredictable weather and fun(!) involved in their multi-day climb on El Cap, as well as discuss how to make the transition from multi-pitch trad climbing to big walls.
