*This hike will be entirely in the dark and will run rain or shine!*
The goal for this hike is to build fitness for the climbing season. Choose a pack weight that will challenge you, but allow you to maintain a moderate pace (approximately 2 mph).
Plan to travel as a group for the first 10 minutes, where we will take a quick layer-change break. From there, everyone can choose their own pace up to the main/lower ledge.
We'll gather at the top for a snack break and some knots practice (Basic Climbing students, bring your practice rope). Then we'll descend the way we came, as a group.
If we've climbed together or you've been on my conditioning hikes before, you have permission to sign up. All others, please use the "request leader's permission" button and tell me about other hikes or conditioning you've done recently.
Meet in the small parking area just before the gate to the Rattlesnake parking lot. Quick introductions at 5:45PM, boots on the trail at 6PM sharp. Don't be late!
No parking pass needed at the trailhead.
