Rattlesnake Ledge

Rattlesnake Ledge is a moderate, 4 mile round-trip day hike with 1,160 ft in elevation gain. The trail switchbacks up steeply to a rocky ledge with views of Mount Si and the surrounding area.

GETTING THERE

from I-90, take exit 32 for 436th Ave SE. Turn right onto Cedar Falls Road SE and about four miles down the road the trailhead/parking lot will be on the right.

Hike the Rattlesnake Ledges Trail ~0.5 mi. The scramble route begins at ~300 yards south of the major switchback where the trail turns sharply south (GPS coordinates 47.439642, -121.775404 and elevation 1,280 ft). Ascend steeply uphill (right turn off the trail) on a boot path, easily followed once found. The route follows a distinct rib between main (lower) ledge to the left and the ridge from Second Ledge on the right, topping out on Rattlesnake First Ledge edge at ~2,079 ft. Descend by hiking down the Rattlesnake Ledge Trail.
