This is a great opportunity for longer milage for those who are busy on evenings/weekends! Please be sure you have done similar distances recently and that this distance is within your capabilities.

This run will be a fun challenging 11 mile loop through three parks and 1100ft of elevation gain. We will start in Golden Gardens, doing two loops on our way to the top of the park (walking the stairs) and then head down the hill to Ballard Locks. After a quick lap there we will cross the locks and head up a longer hill to Discovery Park. After doing the upper loop of Discovery Loop, we will return down the big hill, through Ballard Locks, and return to Golden Gardens following the bike path.

We will walk steep uphills and stairs. Average goal pace should be around 12–15 min/mi.

We will meet at 6:00am at the Golden Gardens Garden near the Boat Ramp! There is plenty of free parking around, but please do not park in the trailer spots closest to the road as you will get a hefty ticket (from personal experience :) .

There are restrooms around all three parks as needed!
