This course aims to help participants develop their fitness and connect with other trail runners during the winter months. It is structured as a series of progressive frontcountry runs that will slightly increase in distance and/or elevation from Jan to Feb to Mar.
Whether you are new to trail running or an experienced runner, we invite you to join us to get out more in a friendly, group environment while challenging yourself, discovering new trails, and meeting other runners.
Graduation Requirements
- Attend virtual or in-person course kick-off
- Complete 2 course runs per month for Dec, Jan and Feb
- Complete Low-Impact Recreation training and earn Low-Impact Recreation badge
Course Agenda
- Virtual or In-Person Course Kick-off: Nov weekday evening
- Dec: 4-6 miles with up to 2,000 ft elevation gain (complete 2)
- Jan: 5-7 miles with up to 3,000 ft elevation gain (complete 2)
- Feb: 6+ miles with up to 4,000 ft elevation gain (complete 2)
- Mar: In-person graduation get-together (optional)
