Interested in learning scrambling, winter travel, or other basic skills? Look no further than the upcoming Olympia Scrambling Course, Winter Travel Course, and clinics in avalanche safety, outdoor preparation, and more.

Before the courses open up in early 2021, the following clinics will help you develop your skills in a range of disciplines. The clinics will be 30-60 minutes in length and will have plenty of opportunities for open questions.

Avalanche Conditions

December 3, 2020 6:30pm
During this beginners mini-clinic, you will learn about resources you can use to evaluate avalanche conditions in areas you are considering for an outing.


PREPARING FOR THE OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT

December 10, 2020 6:30pm
In this beginners skills clinic you will learn Mountaineers techniques for preparing for the winter environment when planning a Snowshoe or Ski Trip.


sNOW sCRAMBLING eQUIPMENT

December 15, 2020 6:30pm
During this mini-clinic, you will learn about equipment used in snow scrambling including evaluation of snow shoes and micro-spikes.


OFF-TRAIL TRAVEL

Dec 15, 2020 6:30pm
During this mini-clinic, you will learn what it means to travel off-trail.


VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE

Jan 7, 2021 6-7:30pm
