New Youth Outside Newsletter for young Mountaineers (and Their Parents)

Back-to-school is right around the corner and now is a great time to seek out year-round outdoor adventure at The Mountaineers. While most of our programs are geared toward adults, Mountaineers ages 2-18 can find joy and confidence outdoors through Youth Programs like break camps, year-round clubs, and after-school programs.

To help youth and families better connect with our Youth Programs, we’re excited to announce some upcoming open house events where youth and their guardians can meet with our youth staff, learn more about all of the opportunities for youth, and get questions answered. See the dates for each age group below. Additionally, we have a new Youth Outside quarterly newsletter to help keep you in the loop. To receive occasional updates and reminders about programs when they’re open for registration, select “Youth Outside” in the “Email Newsletter Preferences” on your profile.

Seattle area Youth Programs Key Fall Dates

• Now | Fall after-school programs open for registration (ages 6-12).
• Aug 27 | Open house for Mountaineers Adventure Club (9th-12th grade). RSVP.
• Sep 1 | Midwinter break camp opens for registration (ages 6-12).
• Sep 10 | Open house for Pathfinders (1st-4th grade). RSVP.
• Sep 17 | Open house for Explorers & Jr. MAC (5th-8th grade). RSVP.
• Sep 24 | Open house for Mini Mountaineers (pre-k and kindergarten). RSVP.
• Oct 1 | Winter after-school programs open for registration (ages 6-12).
• Oct 2 | Orientation dinner for those who wish to volunteer with youth. RSVP.
• Dec 1 | Spring after-school programs open for registration.
• Jan | Seattle Day Camp lottery opens
