Seattle MAC- Open House for Prospective Members

The MAC New Information Seminar is an open house for prospective students (9th-12th grade) and their families to learn more about the program from staff and returning students.
14 ( 45 capacity)

From single-day outings to week-long camping trips, activities include rock climbing, backpacking, hiking, car and snow-cave camping, cross-country and backcountry skiing, and mountaineering.  Our goal is to give our students the skills necessary to safely travel in backcountry and alpine environments, gain an appreciation for our wild places, learn teamwork skills, and grow in confidence. While attendance at all meetings is not required, the more meetings and outings attended, the more rewarding the program!

This is an opportunity for prospective families to learn the nuts and bolts of the program. Prospective families will also learn about the lottery and registration process and what happens after the lottery.  Returning families will also be present to provide a returning members perspective and insight.

This program is strictly for students in grades 9th-12th. Prospective students are highly encouraged to attend this event and ask questions to staff and returning students. Siblings are welcome.
