Winter has come and our youth programs are gearing up for some fun in the snow! We have a few spots left in our Nomads program (ages 8-9) - sign your kids up for a year of learning and exploration.

The Mountaineers Youth Clubs provide opportunities to get you and your children outdoors while following COVID-19 safety protocols. This year we have some exciting activities planned for Nomads, including digging snow caves at Paradise, rock climbing at Exit 38, and backpacking to Pete Lake. To comply with COVID-19 protocols, this year we divided each club into smaller “pods” to keep group size down.

Our clubs provide unique opportunities for kids to learn and play together, creating the kind of environment parents are eager to get involved in:

“As a parent, The Mountaineers youth programs are easily my favorite kid activity. The kids build confidence while learning new skills, get outdoors, and make new friends in a fun and inclusive environment. The kids love it too, which makes it easy.”
-Matt Davey, Nomad Parent

“We have loved The Mountaineers Nomads program! The activities are really fun - we never knew how much we would enjoy rock climbing, for example! And I love that both my child and I are learning skills to help us enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly. We both highly recommend the program!”
-Kitty Borden, Nomad Parent

Winter registration is open Jan 6-Feb 28, and our New Member Meeting is Jan 5. Please contact our Youth Field Coordinator Katy Snyder with questions.
