The Mountaineers is partnering with Base Medical to offer a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course.  This iteration of WFA is a  fully remote course consisting of approximately 8 hours of online course work including an online final exam.  The online course work must be completed prior to the live online practical session.  The final exam must be completed and passed with a score of 80% or higher within seven days of completing the practical portion of the course.

Important Note: The remote practical is not a passive online learning experience. Students are required to demonstrate all skills similar to an in-personal practical course. Students are given a supply list to have available during the session and are required to have a volunteer to serve as their patient. Students may also pair up in pods (in-person) to take the course, serving as each others' patient and calling in together over Zoom. Please email Sara Ramsay if you plan to pair-up with another student.
