This interactive workshop is open to any Mountaineers member, current volunteer course instructor, and aspiring volunteer who is interested in improving instruction! You will leave with materials, ideas, and plans which you can put to work in your lectures, presentations, courses, classes, and fieldtrips right away.  Please bring a piece of curriculum that you have taught or will teach; if you don't have something to bring, Mountaineers-specific examples will be provided for all content areas (not just climbing-- we promise!)

Presenter Info

Ben Brown taught in the K-12 public school system for twelve years, and has volunteered with The Mountaineers for more than five. He currently works as the Educational Technologist supporting teachers and students at Walla Walla Community College with effective, efficient, student-centered implementation of technology in their classrooms. Ben is ABD on a Doctorate in Education in Instructional Systems Design and Technology and enjoys supporting the development and improvement of teaching and learning practices!
