Top 10 Trip Reports - June 2025

June is one of the best times of the year for trip goers, and one of the worst times of the year for us: having to choose between THIS many incredible trip reports was a veritable struggle. Read on, dear friends, for tales of heroic gear rescue, camaraderie, and the majesty of Peru!

Global Adventure - Trek Peru's Cordillera Huayhuash - 5/19-6/7

If you didn’t know about our Global Adventures, consider this trip report your wake-up call. This epic trek through Peru’s Huayhuash Circuit gave us trip envy of new heights at a max elevation of 16,600ft.

Day Hike - Snoqualmie Lake, Big Creek Falls - 6/3

A good trip report looks out for both your tires and your feet, and this one doesn’t shy away from the nitty gritty (potholes and trail holes alike). All of that careful footwork paid off for these Conditioning Hiking Series hikers. Read on for every hiker’s highlight of the summer: cooling off in a lake after a long day on the trail.

Basic Glacier Climb - Winthrop Glacier Traverse - 6/14-6/15

Alpine Scramble - Wahpenayo Peak - 6/15

No glissades, although there were a few falls (don’t worry - no scramblers were harmed in the completion of this trip). Read on to learn how the group crushed this ascent and even managed to send out their Father’s Day texts at the summit. If that didn’t make everyone’s old man proud, we don’t know what would.

Whitewater Packraft - Elwha River - 6/15-6/16

This group scouted ahead along 'That Dam Rapid' so you don’t have to. Read on for first-class hazard safety on second-class (and above) rapids.

Basic Glacier Climb - Mount Daniel/Lynch Glacier - 6/17

This group referred to previous trip reports for conditions, including recommendations from a fellow climb leader’s trip report. We love to see it! Read on for glorious views of Glacier Peak, Cathedral Rock, and Pea Soup Lake (which resembled more of an ice soup on this particular day).

Basic Backpack - Ozette Triangle - 6/19

This trip report stepped right out of a travel catalog. Spectacular wildlife, coastalscapes, old forests, and petroglyphs are just a few of the wonders the Ozette Triangle promises. On top of the free advertising, this trip report also does a wonderful job outlining the difficulty level of the route, as well as essential gear.
