North Olympic Coast Car Camp

In order to take advantage of the low tide for Saturday, we will meet at 9 AM by the Loop B bulletin board, so camping both Friday and Saturday nights at Mora Campground is recommended.  At 9 AM Saturday we will drive to the Rialto Beach trailhead parking lot, where we will start our hike on Rialto Beach through Hole- in-the -Wall, to the next headland, where we have our trail lunch, before returning by the same route.  Saturday evening we'll have a camp dinner followed by smores around the campfire. 

Sunday morning we'll have a camp lunch and then drive to the Second Beach trailhead parking lot.  We will hike in to the south end of Second Beach, our lunch spot, inspecting the marine life there, and then hike to the north end of the beach to see more marine life there.  Then we hike back to the cars.  On the drive home we have the option to stop for dinner at the iconic Hungry Bear Cafe on US 101.  Participants in this car camp should plan to return home late Sunday evening.
