TAC MAC Ice Climbing Field Trip - Lake Ann (Mount Shuksan)
Training trip to learn the basics of ice climbing on glacial ice. We will camp at Lake Ann and climb on the lower Curtis seracs. We will not be summiting Shuksan or climbing Fisher Chimneys.

The best places in Washington to practice ice climbing are usually accessible sections of steep glaciers in the late summer, when the seasonal snow has melted off. MAC students will get the chance to try ice climbing with crampons and ice tools, learn how to place ice screws, build ice anchors, etc.
