mount annette (5,681 ft)

10 miles round trip, 3,000

Hike to the saddle at 4,900 ft northwest of Lake Ann. Follow a boot path southwest and then south along the ridge that leads to the summit of Peak 5681. Where the ridge steepens at ~5,300 ft, the path contours along the east side of the ridge and becomes indistinct—stay high here and continue to the south ridge. The terrain appears gentle on the USGS Shuksan Arm 7.5 min map, but it's steep with lots of fun scrambling. Watch for cairns to find the easiest way to scramble to the summit which is covered with small trees. This peak is named "Han Peak," "Mount Han," and "Mount Annette" in various online reports.

mount ann (5,840 ft)

11 miles round trip, 3,500 feet of elevation gain, difficulty: strenuous 3, technical 3

Hike and scramble to ~5,500 ft on the south ridge of Mount Annette. Scramble west along the ridge ~0.5 mile to summit of Mount Ann. The ridge has lots more ups and downs than are apparent on the map.
