This is a tough hike with 3800 ft elevation in just 4.5 miles with most of that elevation in the last 2 - 2.5 miles of the "up" portion. It is a hike that I take a nice slow pace so that all can complete it but, once you get to the lookout, the views are beautiful! Also I scheduled this hike during blueberry and huckleberry picking season so all could spend time picking all the berries you wish. Bring along a tupperware container to fill!
***This hike is about 50% out in the open so in high heat, I will either cancel or reschedule it to another site that has more cover and less elevation. This is just really not a safe hike to do in high temeratures.***
Meeting time: 7:30am at the Granite Mountain Trailhead.
