Lookouts and High Places

Head for the high country and prepare for some elevation gain with this series of hikes to many of Washington’s iconic lookouts, vistas and favorite peaks.

Prospective students must have the Low-Impact Recreation badge in their profile to register for this course.

Destinations in this new Lookouts and High Places hike series will include Hannegan Pass, Hidden Lake, Tatoosh Peak, Eagle Peak Saddle, Granite Mountain, Gobblers Knob, Fremont Lookout, Shriner Peak, Tolmie Peak and many more beautiful destinations.

Distances and difficulty levels will vary, with most hikes falling into the "Moderate", "Moderate to Strenuous" and "Strenuous" categories.

To complete this series, participants must attend an introductory evening online lecture via Zoom and participate in six hikes.
