Join me to explore Grand Prospect via Rattlesnake Mountain trail. Expect a lot more solitude on this approach and enjoy views of the Snoqualmie Valley, Mount Si, Mount Teneriffe, North Bend, and more. The views are some of the best in the Cascade foothills and the trail can be hiked year-round, though it can be snowy in winter and can be muddy/slippery in patches after a good rain. Bring layers as the weather/temp can change quickly.
After brief introductions at the trailhead, we will hike the trail. Once we reach Grand Prospect, we will take a 20-minute break. We will hike slower going up and faster coming down based on the pace of the group. We will hike rain or shine, unless the weather is unsafe. Remember to bring your microspikes.
From the west, take I-90 to exit 27. At the end of the off-ramp, turn right onto Winery Road. In about 0.35 miles turn right into the parking area for Rattlesnake Mountain. (Straight ahead will lead you into Snoqualmie Point Park.)
We will meet at Snoqualmie Point Park Trail TH at 8:00AM. Discover Pass required.
