Rattlesnake Mountain (West)

An easy to strenuous hike along Rattlesnake Mountain starting from the Snoqualmie Point Trailhead. Hike up to 13.4 miles and 2,420 feet of elevation gain, reaching Stan's Overlook, Grand Prospect and the East Peak. Enjoy many great views from the ridge!

getting there

From I-90, take Exit 27 and turn right.  Arrive at Snoqualmie Point Park, a large day-use parking lot and picnic area, in about a half mile.

on the trail

The trail follows I-90 fairly closely, but much of the time you'll forget it's there.  Hike up a trail with a mix of new and old growth forest with some open spaces on a clearly marked well maintained trail.

Stan's Overlook (2,100 ft)

Reach the the first viewpoint, Stan's Overlook (2,100 ft), in 2.4 miles and 1,020 feet of elevation gain. From there, you can see Mount Si and the Snoqualmie Valley. It's 5 miles round trip and 1,020 feet of elevation gain.

Grand Prospect (3,100 ft)

Continue on and arrive at Grand Prospect (3,100 ft) in another 2.5 miles and 1,000 feet of elevation gain.  This precipice is due south of the town of North Bend. It's 9.8 miles and 2,200 feet of elevation gain round trip.

Rattlesnake Mountain, East Peak (3,500 ft)

Reach the East Peak in another 1.8 miles and 400 feet of elevation gain.  Great views abound from here! 13.4 miles and 2,420 feet of elevation gain round trip.
