Travel and Adventure Writing Workshop with Award-Winning Writer Nick O'Connell

Join award-winning writer Nicholas O’Connell, MFA, Ph.D. of The Writer’s Workshop for an Introduction to Travel and Adventure Writing, one of the most exciting forms of narrative.

Travel and adventure writing is one of the most appealing genres of nonfiction, calling on all of an author’s skills—dramatic scenes, character sketches, concrete detail, point of view, scene by scene construction—to bring your adventures to vivid life. This one session intensive class will introduce you to essential techniques of travel and adventure writing and give you expert, insider advice about how to submit and publish finished travel stories. No experience is necessary; just bring an open mind, something to write with (laptop or pen/pencil), and your creative sense of curiosity. Whether you're brand-new to writing, interested in blogging, or want to pursue publication, you'll leave this workshop one step closer to meeting your goals.

Space is limited so mark your calendar to get your advance tickets when sales open on January 8!  Tickets $15 for Mountaineers members, $18 for the general public.  A ticket is required to attend.
