As agencies in the U.S. and Canada fail to regulate industrial resource extraction effectively, to honor the treaty rights of indigenous peoples, or to protect the integrity of the natural systems of this region, First Nations, scientists, foresters, conservationists, and recreationists are attempting to chart a new path forward, before it is too late.
