Fred Beckey on Schurman Rock

Camp Long and The Mountaineers have been long-time partners, with Mountaineers like Clark Schurman developing some of the first urban climbing education structures at Camp Long  in the late 1930's.  Above is a great photo of Fred Beckey practicing on Schurman Rock at Camp Long (what was then called Monitor Rock)Today, The Mountaineers partners with Camp Long to provide meaningful outdoor experiences to youth throughout King County.

Join us on September 13, along with partners like the AAC, Mountain Madness, Second Ascent, Vertical World and Seattle Bouldering Project to celebrate mountain life!

This is a FREE, FAMILY FRIENDLY event for all ages!
