Seattle Nomads Backpack - Baker River & East Baker Lake

Phase 3 trip for Nomads. Join us for a weekend of backpacking!

  • Easy/Moderate
  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)
  • Mileage: 8.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 650 ft

Meet Saturday, June 12 at 8:30am: At the Baker Lake Trailhead

We will return to the trailhead at approximately 2pm on Sunday, June 13.

Join fellow Nomads on the trial! Practice the skills we've been learning all year in order to stay happy and healthy for a weekend of backpacking.  We will be camping at Maple Grove (~4mi in) and can explore the lake on Saturday afternoon if we have the time and energy. The site will have bear vaults so no need for bear cans or hang bags for the weekend.

Trip Sheet: Posted within two weeks prior to the trip.

Guests: If spots are still available one week prior to the trip, email Tom to request that a friend or sibling be able to join.

There is a Pre-Trip Meeting that will be held on May 25th between 6:30 - 7pm to discuss our backpack.

Please request gear from Hannah and the Gear Library by June 1 to borrow gear for the trip!
