Seattle MAC Alpine Climb - Mount St. Helens/Monitor Ridge

An Alpine Climb lead by volunteers and/or staff for MAC! This trip has prerequisites. See leaders notes for details.

Prerequisites: 

For alpine rock climbs:

Skills/workshops: Multi-pitch systems, belay escape, rappelling, lead climbing / lead belaying

Other courses/trips: Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course/badge

If glacier climb: In addition to all of the above: Crevasse rescue workshop, glacier climbing fundamentals (at least 2), Snow 1, Snow 2

In addition the technical skills described above, participants joining this trip may be asked to describe the physical preparations they have undertaken - this may include conditioning hikes, other easier climbs, weekly training routines, etc.

We will either leave Saturday and camp Saturday night to summit on Sunday or we will leave very early on Saturday and climb it in a day.
