CHS 2 Hike - Third Burroughs Mountain

A tour of the Sunrise area including Fremont Lookout and Third Burroughs which sits between the Winthrop and Emmons Glaciers with spectacular views of Columbia Crest on Mount Rainier. CHS 2 hike led at a pace of 2.0-3.0 mph.

Meet at Sunrise at 7:45.

On this hike we will be starting by heading up from the Sunrise parking lot to the Fremont lookout.  From there, we head to the first and second Burroughs. This is where is where most people turn around as the trail to third Burroughs is not officially maintained, but it is supposed to be one of the most dramatic and close-up views of Mt. Rainier.
