CHS 2 Hike - Ross Dam & Big Beaver Creek

A NORTH CASCADES HIKE in APRIL?? You Bet!!! We just scouted this hike 3/1/26 and it's grrreat. We will cross on the top of Ross Dam (pretty cool!) to get to the west side of Ross Lake. We'll then hike along Ross Lake (passing above the Ross Lake resort). Some caveats: This hike requires a long drive of close to 2.5 hours (but very worth it). Car-pooling will be very strongly recommended. If the weather forecast is gnarly we will for sure switch to a close in I-90 hike. CHS hike led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-3.0 mph)

This will be a very weather dependent hike. If weather proves to be uncooperative we will change to a (most likely) I-90 hike of comparable stats.

This will require a 2.5 hour drive so be ready for a long day. Carpooling is strongly recommended!

Let's plan to meet at the Brickyard Park n Ride in Bothell at 7:30AM and we will consolidate to 2-3 cars.

If you don't wish to carpool plan to meet us at the Trailhead at 10AM.
