CHS 2 Hike - Colchuck Lake

CHS hike led at a CHS 2 pace (2.0-2.5 mph). We'll head up to Colchuck lake early to beat the crowds, and then finish the afternoon with a side trip to Stuart Lake. For those who are interested, camping space is available at the Eightmile campground for the night of July 2

This will be a smaller group (Enchantments area is max 8 people), and will be a great training hike for those thinking to do the Enchantments graduation through-hike. We'll head up to Colchuck first to get the uphill out of the way early, then back to the trail junction, up to Stuart, then back to the cars.

Even on a weekday this will be a crowded trailhead. We have a 12-person tent spot reserved at Eightmile campground that can accommodate two cars and plenty of tent space is available. We'll coordinate cars for those choosing to camp overnight the 2nd; anyone not camping-- we'll meet at the Stuart Lake trailhead at 7:00AM SHARP, to start hiking by 7:15. There's no cell service at the trailhead.
