We will be going for a pace to reach the haystack in 90 min.
Please pack your bag with water and snacks. Water bottles are easiest weight bc you can drain them at the top - if you want. Packs will be weighed perchance.
Conditioners are a great opportunity to pack ridiculous foods and beverages since you need weight anyway.
We won't be attempting the haystack.
Microspikes are a good idea still in case there are still some icy spots. Trip reports indicate snow still above 4k'.
We can optionally head down the backside and make a loop out of it if you want, but this will add a little time.
Weather looks good, but bring something to cover your pack and a shell in case we get wet.
When requesting permission from outside Alex/Josh SIG, please include 1 or 2 of your most recent hikes/conditioners/climbs. Include pack weight, time to summit, and pace.
To show me that you read all the way to here, tell me your favorite peak in the Olympic Range.
