Two required evening sessions where there will be two stations set up at the program center. Half the students do station #1 on the first night which covers Multi pitch skills related to rope management, voice commands, gear management, protecting seconds on traverse, options for belaying a second etc. The other half will be at station #2 where there will be advanced rappel skills and additional anchor building skills.

On the second evening the group that was at station #1 goes to station #2 and vice versa.

  • Rock climbing shoes
  • Harness
  • 1 personal anchor (Metolius) + locking carabiner
  • 6 single alpine slings
  • 2 double alpine slings
  • 1 triple alpine sling
  • 18 standard-sized non-locking carabiners (2 per sling)
  • 6 locking carabiners (in addition to the one in #4)
  • One set of standard-sized cams
  • One cam each matching the following Black Diamond sizes: .3, .4, .5, .75, 1, 2, 3
