This field trip will focus on introducing basic climbing class students to the basics of snow belays, snow anchors, crevasse rescue, traveling together on a rope, and snow camping.  In the past we've been able to take other SIG students; check with the leader for availability closer to the dates.

We will camp towards where commonwealth creek narrows, and if conditions permit, attempt to climb up to Cave Ridge.

Summit West parking area (closest to the freeway).  The ski season should be over, so no competition for parking.  0900 for 0930 departure.
