Conditioner Hike - Poo Poo Point via High School Trail

Conditioning hike to maximize fitness for Canyoning Course on lesser-known starting point for otherwise popular trail. Get to know fellow students and canyon instructors on a moderate-fast paced morning hike. If weather is good, expect to see paragliders.

Meet at 8:00 am at Evans Street gravel parking in Issaquah, near the middleh school. Please note this is NOT the more common Chirico trail. Parking on street - no passes needed. Following introductions, description of route and current trail conditions, plan to start hiking a few minutes after 8:00 am. There are no public bathrooms at the trail head or anywhere on the route.

This route starts at the small trailhead near Issaquah High School on 2nd Avenue. We'll stick together as a group at about ~2.5 mph uphill on the High School Trail, then the Poo Poo Point Trail. We will stop for 15-20 minutes at the top to enjoy a snack, views and perhaps even some paraglider launches. Then back down, with an estimated total trip time of 3 1/2 hours.
