Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course offered by Base Medical. First choice extended to Olympia Climbing students needing this class to graduate. Class consists of approximately 8 hours of on-line instruction and an 8 hour in-person session. The Mountaineers is partnering with Base Medical to offer a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course. This iteration of WFA is a hybrid course consisting of approximately 8 hours of online work, 8 hours of in-person class room and an online final exam. The online course work must be completed prior to the in person or practical session. The final exam must be completed and passed with a score of 80% or higher within seven days of completing the practical portion of the course. An evening session of Scenarios will be offered to graduates later. A CPR class is strongly recommended but not required for this course.
COURSE DETAILS
- You will receive an email with a link to the online course work on. Online course work must be completed prior to the practical session on.
- No refunds will be allowed after on-line course links are issued on or after April 4th.
- The in person practical session of this course will be held at Griffin Fire District-Station 2, on Saturday, April 23, from 8 AM to 5 PM. More information about the practical course will be sent via email closer to the course date.
- The online final exam must be completed (80% to pass) by May 1.
- Masks and proof of Covid vaccination are required.
