This course teaches techniques useful in leading teams toward successful adventures in the back country. We also cover some basics of Mountaineers' website navigation and use to ease preparing and scheduling trips and activities.

This course held at the Kitsap Program Center is intended for current and prospective leaders of Mountaineers trips and activities. We’ll address problems from scenarios based on actual trips – the good and the bad. These thought-provoking discussions are a mix of the participants’ own experiences, scenarios, and the course text. This course is not activity-specific, and snowshoers, skiers, kayakers, hikers, climbers, sailors, scramblers are all encouraged to participate.
PREREQUISITE: Completion of the Mountaineers' Foundations of Leadership elearning course. Link on the M's website.
We expect to offer a Zoom option for those that prefer a remote option.
