Pacific Crest Trail Challenge Kickoff Event

Join us for this fun and interesting event to kick off the 2016 Mountaineers PCT Challenge!
  • Tue, May 24, 2016 from 06:30 PM to 08:45 PM
  • Foothills Branch
  • Foothills
  • iCal
24 ( 50 capacity)

Join fellow PCT enthusiasts to celebrate this amazing National Scenic Trail, a 2660-mile path from Mexico to Canada but also a unique and very special entity that continues to inspire people to get outdoors, to see, preserve and protect some of the nation’s most unique and stunning wild places, to challenge themselves to accomplish an extraordinary physical and mental feat, and to help others experience it.    Enjoy talks by the Northwest Regional Representative of the Pacific Crest Trail Association, a PCT historian, thru-hikers and trail angels, plus door prizes and a chance to talk gear with several recent thru-hikers.   We will also provide details on a 2016 Mountaineers program which will provide Mountaineers-led hikes and backpacks on the PCT (with badges and prizes for mileage on the trail!), as well as opportunities to get involved in trail maintenance and trail-angel activities, and fun events through the season.

Members from any branch as well as non-members and guests are welcome to attend the event, but space is limited so please RSVP if you plan to attend! Not a member or guest member but want to attend? Create a guest membership here.
