The hike is ~3.1 miles with ~183 ft elevation gain. The trail is well-maintained and relatively smooth. We’ll make two loops around the trail. We’ll practice different paces during the first loop, starting at ~1.5 mph and increasing up to a maximum ~2.2 mph. The goal is to discover a pace you’re comfortable with. I recommend that you try faster paces to see what you’re capable of, but you can always shift to a slower pace if you’re not comfortable. You can hike at a comfortable pace during the second loop, maybe taking time to enjoy the scenery, or practice different paces on different portions of the trail.
We’ll meet at the main Oxbow Loop trailhead at 10:00am. Anyone who would like to join me in a dynamic yoga warm-up should be there by 9:45am. There is a toilet at the trail head. A Discover Pass is required for parking.
