- In this second participant orientation session of the Mountaineers GoHike series, we'll review topics from the first orientation and focus this orientation on community, expectations and preparedness. This session is required to graduate from the GoHike series.
- Regardless of intent to graduate, all new and returning participants must attend.
- Can't make one of the orientations? A link to the recording will be sent to you 1-2 days after.
- A Knowledge Check will be administered after the second orientation and completion with a passing score is required for all participants.
- Orientation will be held via Zoom, starting promptly at 6:30 pm and ending at 8:00 pm. We will have an extra 30 minutes for any additional Q&A.
- Zoom log in info will arrive in your email inbox 1-2 days before orientation.
Required Equipment
None. We'll have examples of gear for you to look at, and help you learn how to decide what gear is essential for a given hike and set of conditions. Then as the series progresses will help you fill in any gaps in your gear kit with a minimum of expense.
