April GoHike Urban Walk: 2.5 - 5 miles, 250 - 1,000 feet gain (optional) - Cheasty Greenspace
Walk in Beacon Hill neighborhood along historic and scenic Olmstead-designed Cheasty Boulevard, past Jefferson Park golf course; then, thru Beacon Food Forest and Jefferson Park. This walk includes a 1-stop ride on the Lightrail and viewing of artwork in the underground Beacon Hill station. GoHike Urban Walks are outings of at least two miles or longer that take place on city or suburban streets, parks or greenbelts.

- Route includes a sometimes muddy or puddle-y unpaved walking paths, walking paths with Parks-maintained gravel surfaces (meaning that some parts have bare soil surfaces), crossing streets and paved walkways.
- Route includes a 1-stop ride on the lightrail: Mount Baker station to Beacon Hill station. If the escalator is still under repair, walking up a long flight of stairs is required.
- For stability and balance, hiking poles are required for use on the unpaved walking paths.
- Ready to walk at 9am at the Jefferson Park Community Center, 3801 Beacon Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108. There is free off-street parking. Or, you can arrive via Metro bus #36 to Beacon Ave S & S Spokane St, stop 33960 (link to route & schedule)
